Recently Japan’s National Tax Agency announced the 2010 usage rates for the electronic tax filing system e-Tax. e-Tax went live in 2004 and has become a very popular way for business and individuals to file taxes. A little over half returns were filed using e-Tax, a 5% increase from the previous year. The system’s use grown faster than anticipated, as the results from 2010 already have achieved usage rates for 2011.
