Right now with the damage in northern Japan and the relocation of many businesses and people, Japan is seeing a huge boom for the construction and building supply industry. Among the main areas contributing to this is Osaka. Besides temporary structures for evacuees and volunteers and workers involved with the reconstruction, the demand has grown substantially for companies in Kansai who manufacture parts and materials used in infrastructure. Donations and government assistance will surely play a large part in the funding of this undertaking, but money alone cannot rebuild the damaged areas. Businesses that provide services and supplies will have a great chance in the coming months to make a positive contribution while also doing good business.
