If United States has a “Black Friday Sale,” Japan has its own, too. So, aside from thinking of various water activities to beat the summer heat, one more thing to look forward to is shopping during Summer Sale. Since this happens yearly, most people save money and wait for this season to buy the things they need at discounted prices.

There are lots of things to buy during the Summer sale. On top of the list is summer clothes, which include both the traditional and modern clothing. For a traditional “Yukata”, also known as Summer kimono, shoppers can get a good deal as much as 50% off the regular price. In addition, school items are also availableto students for the coming school year. Everywhere you go, you will definitely find some items that may ignite your fashion sense.

While everyone is too busy looking for items to buy, there are some things that we need to remember to make such experience fun and worthy. Here are some practical tips:

1. Know the sale dates – Depending on your area, you may experience different sale dates. It is best to write them down and make sure to keep the details for the coming years.

2. Save money in advance – Summer sale happens between Juneand July, so start saving money as early as possible. Avoid spending all your salary for the month, rather keep a portion of itmonths before the shopping season.

3. Know what a good deal is -Discount rates vary among shopping malls and to consider it as a good deal, you should get at least 40% off the regular price. Aside from that, buy only the things that will be of great use to you. Though many items are discounted, it does not mean that you need to buy them all.

It really feels good to buy new and nice things; however, it is still advised to shop according to your budget.
